Arundathi Roy: Author Returns 1989 National Prize for Best Screenplay in Protest of Government
The "God of Small Things" author won the award for the film "In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones." In an Indian Express column, Roy wrote about millions of Indians "being forced to live in terror."
